The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it's alarmed in regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The support stage sassa status created for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, sassa SASSA will mobilise far more sources to help the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
